Grand Valley Catholic Outreach Adds a Representative to the Mesa County Workforce Center

In an effort, to better serve citizens in need in Mesa County a representative from Grand Valley Catholic Outreach (an organization that offers emergency services to people in need) will have a volunteer representative at the Mesa County Workforce Center every Monday from 9am-3pm. The GV Catholic Outreach volunteer will assist people in gaining some basic needs of housing, food and clothing.

"Many times connecting people with services they need to become successful and self sufficient require trips all over the Grand Valley. By stationing a volunteer from Grand Valley Catholic Outreach at the Workforce Center we are making that trip to self sufficiency a quicker one", according to Executive Director Tracey Garchar. Catching the bus across town after visiting with one our Employment Specialists, when they need to get back to work can be a barrier to helping folks get back on their feet." Garchar added.
GV Catholic Outreach volunteer will provide assistance on a walk in basis at the Mesa County Workforce Center 512 29 1/2 Rd GJ on Mondays between 9am and 3pm.
